WALRUS Big Sur Vintage Family Camping Tent 6-8 persons 10’6″ x 10’6″ Carry sack
This family tent has probably been used no more than 5 times. All of its parts are present, such as the stakes and the poles. As the pictures show, two poles are broken. The Walrus company no longer exists. It was bought by Cascade Designs. I called Cascade Designs and found out that it does
This family tent has probably been used no more than 5 times. All of its parts are present, such as the stakes and the poles. As the pictures show, two poles are broken. The Walrus company no longer exists. It was bought by Cascade Designs. I called Cascade Designs and found out that it does not have any of the Walrus poles; however, it recommended the company Tent Pole Technology at 360-260-9527. Tent Pole Technology is located in Vancouver, Washington. I called Tent Pole Technology to find out the cost of replacing the two broken poles. No exact price could be given until the company actually sees the poles. However, I was told that repair generally costs around $40 for two poles and $70 would be an average price to make two new poles. The gentleman I spoke to at Tent Pole Technology said that he has worked on lots of Walrus tents, and he commented on how well they are made. As the picture shows, we do have the original instructions for the tent. Also, we have the carry sack for the tent itself and one for the poles. There is a small sack for the stakes, which fits into the sack for the poles.
