COOL BEANS N SPROUTS Brand All about your Red Clover Microgreen! To reap the health benefits of microgreens, eat them immediately after harvest. Microgreens, like most other superfoods that are consumed fresh, begin to lose their nutritional value rapidly after harvest. Consider growing your own microgreens at home as this will allow you to decide exactly when you harvest your crop. Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are approximately 1–3 inches (2.5–7.5 cm) tall. They have an aromatic flavor and concentrated nutrient content and come in a variety of colors and textures. Microgreens are considered baby plants, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby green. Clover is such a versatile microgreen! They have beautiful green leaves with a mild, fresh, nutty & sweet flavor. Clover adds a fresh crisp crunch to sandwiches & salads and is very similar to Alfalfa in both flavor & texture. Red clover microgreen is a source of many valuable nutrients including proteins, minerals, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, silicon, as well as vitamins A, B-12, C, E and K. The Clover microgreen prefers to be grown hydroponically. You will use about 1 ounce of seeds per 1020 tray, and no need to pre-soak them. Use a blackout dome 3-5 days. At Day 3 and 4, carefully flip the blackout lid onto your plants to help strengthen your crop before exposing fully to light. Clover microgreens will be ready for peeling about 5-6 days after planting and will be ready for harvest in about 8-10 days!
