The Warre beehive has advantages over the traditional langstroth, the chief difference is that the boxes are smaller, this size difference helps the bees protect, clean, and maintain the hive more efficiently. This listing offers a Warre style beehive, made with western red cedar for outdoor longevity, with three hive bodies, which will be enough to get you through your first year. This Warre Beehive follows closely to the original design, it uses top bars instead of frames, includes a quilt with wood shavings, and a sloped roof. Included is a screened bottom. If you would like the solid floor there will be no extra cost, just send me a note saying that is what you want. This Listing does not include windows in the hive bodies.
