The unit will then turn on the Fire Chamber Fan which then burns wood efficiently with less smoke!One light is low heat. Four lights lit is very hot. Most grilling is best on 3 lights for searing, and 2 lights for general cooking.With the PizzaDome in place, things will heat up fast, and less fire is needed.Just pull some wood out of the chamber to slow the fire. Hint: For a really quick HOT fire, use some “Fatwood”Fatwood is high resin wood from downed, old trees.I use Orvis Fatwood. Also note that different wood types burn differentlyfor both temperature, burn time & flavor.
