REI “OLYMPUS 6″ Vintage 1980’s 6 Person / 3 Season Camping Tent W/ Rainfly ~ 9.5′ x 9.5′ x 70″ H ~ 18 lbs. Estate find. Uncleaned as found with no foul smells, sticky material, rips, holes or tears in good overall used condition with normal wear from use and age. Collectible rare tent great for the collection or use. No stakes were found or included. Carry bags for the stakes, poles and main tent are included with extra guy-lines. YKK Zippers work great. The rainfly has some delamination and peeling in areas and could benefit from being recoated if desired. The taped seams for the inner floor could also be done. The tent as is when setup in some of the heaviest rains proved this tent is nearly bombproof and without the rainfly still is about 95% dry when tested in the rain without the rainfly. The floor is heavy duty and the aluminum poles and shockcord are still in new-like condition. Very simple and fast setup with the sections all shock corded together. The carry bag measures 3′ x 8″ x 8”. Vented screens on the ceiling for added ventilation. Everything shown weighs about 18 lbs. A very sturdy and well designed tent back when the quality was superb and when the YKK Zippers were used unlike the REI branded zippers of today which seems to be a common weak link with the tents. * BEING SOLD AS IS, AS FOUND.
