200 wax foundation anchor sticks for super frames 6 1/4″ WAX FOUNDATION AND FRAMES NOT INCLUDED. These may interest those of you who like wax foundation, but don’t like the drudgery of wiring frames. These are simply little sticks with pins and tabs that press into the wax and locate it in the top and bottom bar grooves. No more jigs, eyelets, wire spools, hammers, nails and electrical transformers. All you need is a platform (not included) that is level with the bottom of the grooves, which is easily made from cardboard, styrofoam and double stick tape. Simply drop the frame over over the platform lay the wax on the foam and insert the tabs into the grooves, press the pins into the wax and BOOM, in about 30 seconds you’re done. You can mark the foam, which shows through the wax, to guide where the sticks go. They are made from food grade HIPS and come with instructions and details on how to make the platform. I am a hobby beekeeper and small manufacturer, all the molded plastic bee related items I make are produced in California. We’re taking America back one product at a time. Spehar products, Imagination + unfair advantage UPDATE: The colony that I rescued 40 days ago have drawn comb over the sticks and are already populating it, see last pic. Unsolicited testimonial 5/23/16, Thank you Patricia J. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these Wax Foundation Anchors. Wire NO MORE! These have been such a time saver in a crunch moment…. So easy to use, and holds securely. I’ve even used them in a large frame to securely anchor a small frame wax foundation into a large frame…figured the bees wouldn’t mind building from half way down. Worked like a charm, held the small wax foundation tightly in place. I ran out of large wax foundations and this worked wonders to improvise where wire just wouldn’t have worked. Now that there is drawn comb, with honey over them, I’m taking a frame to my bee club next month to show them off. J We apologize for the increase in price, raw material and production costs have skyrocketed, we just filled an order for $105.00 that cost us $115.00, either we pass on the added costs or discontinue products.
