Here is a complete and totally original set of 12 cards produced by Casino Chocolates of France and dating back to 1940 . The cards measure approx 2 ins x 2.5 ins each containing pinpricked indentations of the letters ‘U’ ‘V’ which prevented cards submitted in complete albums in return for a prize from being re-submitted once the album had been returned to its owner . However , this is an incredibly rare complete set and has the card number , product details and picture description clearly marked in French on the rear . The fact that these cards were produced and distributed during World War 2 makes them both rare and collectable and I rarely have this set available in its complete form .
