Bee Bait works by attracting a large number of scout bees which are sent out in preparation of swarming, significantly increasing the odds that your bait hives will catch a new colony. The all natural components of Bee Bait mimic the Queen pheromone which further enhances the likelihood that swarms will stick with your bait hive once attracted. Just a few drops of Bee Bait is potent enough to attract swarms to your bait hive and will last for up to three months. Our bottle provides enough swarm lure to bait 50 hives. We take great pride in the packaging of our products and use only the highest quality ingredients and premium containers, ensuring that any unused Bee Bait can last for multiple seasons. Selecting a Swarm Trap Swarm trap volume should be approximately 40 liters (about the size of a standard deep hive box. Provide a cover or other structure to keep the inside of the trap dry. The entrance of the trap should be 1 ¼ inches in diameter or 1 ½ to 2 square inches. The shape of the opening is not important. However, be sure to place 1/2 inch screen inside the hole to prevent birds from taking up residence. Entrance should be positioned adjacent to the floor of the hive. 2. Baiting the Trap Add frames with foundation to your swarm trap. Put three to four drops of Bee Bait Swarm Lure on a cotton ball and place in a ziploc storage bag and close it partially. Set the bag containing swarm lure on top of the frames and secure with a tac. Place one or two additional drops near the entrance of the trap. Add more drops to the entrance once every few weeks. 3.
