Walrus Arch-Rival 2 or 3 person double-hoop tent Purchased this tent new in 1998, used it 2 nights, and it’s been stored indoors for the last 20+ years. I’m cleaning out my gear closet and just don’t need it any more. This was considered the top of the line in tents in the late 90s, this sold for $300-$400 new. Walrus Tents was sold to MSR around 2005. Some would consider this a collectors item! The basic tent is undamaged, I set it up this week for the photos in this listing. I discovered while doing this that the seam-seal waterproofing compound that was applied to the inside seams of the fly is deteriorated and flaking off. That’s why I’m selling it at such a discount. It’s a project, but cleaning off the old seam-sealing would probably only require some mineral spirits or alcohol and rags. Then just apply a new commercially available seam-sealing like applied to any silnylon tent. It comes with all the original stuff sacks, tent, fly, stakes and the 2 collapsible hoop poles.
